men's cologne, aftershave

A few days ago I ordered a bottle of men's cologne for my husband, and even though I'd planned to surprise him with it, I ended up letting him know so that he wouldn't decide to order a bottle himself. His bottle of men's cologne was getting low, and I generally like to make sure that he doesn't run low, since I know he'll order it himself and I figure that it's the least I could do.

I was fairly certain that I'd ordered cologne, but after he asked me about it, I started doubting myself, so I told him I'd go online and check out the receipt that had been sent to me via email. He said that it wasn't that he was against aftershave, but that he really prefers the staying power of cologne and that's really what he needed.

After checking, I was happy to be able to report to him that I had ordered men's cologne and that he didn't have anything to worry about. He went on to say that he figured I had, since I am very observant and pay attention to the little details. I guess he's right about that. I do like to make sure that I pay attention to the details, since I know how important they can often be. I never gave much thought about the difference between cologne and aftershave, but apparently my husband has and it's a mental note that I’ve made to myself so that I don't forget and order the wrong thing in the future.

The one thing that we both love is that we are both interested in getting the best prices on everything we buy, including men's cologne, and that's why nine out of ten times we order online. There are so many great products for a fraction of the price that you'd pay in retail stores, and we often take the amount of money we save by ordering online and put it in a little jar and use it for vacations and such. So when I saved by ordering the men's cologne online, the difference between what I paid online, and what I would have paid in the retail store went into the jar and when summer rolls around we'll see how much we've got.
