The weather report was claiming nothing but clear warm skies for this past weekend, which pushed me to a call a friend with an apartment on the beach to see what his Sunday plans were. He had the same idea as me immediately letting us know about a beach volleyball tournament they were trying to put together. Sunday morning rolled around and with the early sunshine peaking through my closed blinds I immediately knew it was going to be a hot one. My girlfriend was coming alone too so she started packing beach towels, bottles of water, body lotion, sun screen and her makeup bag filled with hair care and fragrance perfume items into a bag. Why she needed to bring a makeup bag to the beach is beyond me.
It wasn’t noon yet when we hit the road. Being a Sunday right around when church is in session the highway was wide open. We flew down from up north towards the ocean. By the time we reached the beach community, it was just after 12:15 and our friends had already moved out to the beach. It was pure luck when a SUV pulled out from a meter spot surrounded by other parked cars along the ocean roadway. With just enough change for 90 minutes, I agreed to come back and change out some bills later on. At the moment, the volleyball game was about to begin so there was no time to waste.
Backpack slung over my shoulders we walked past the lively bike trail crossing over to the sand before spotting our friends on a nearby net. Immediately, one of the guys saw me and hucked a football my way. After setting the bag down, I undressed into board shorts and went deep for a couple of passes. My buddy wanted me to gun it to him on the move so he started sprinting towards where our stuff laid. I tossed it and he dove, rolling right over our backpack. At first I didn’t think twice but then my girlfriend ran out and grabbed the bag. I could tell something was a matter when she stared into the unzip backpack. The fragrance perfume bottle had cracked and was leaking everywhere. She pulled the splintered fragrance perfume bottle out with an oops face. We have since gone online to places like MCQ Superstore at http://www.mcqsuperstore.com/ to replace her fragrance perfume, body lotion and hair care products. Other then my backpack forever smelling like fragrance perfume it was a great afternoon.
