I can’t imagine shaving without having a bottle of aftershave. Can you? It would be far too sensitive and painful for me to even think about leaving my house without first being able to massage in some aftershave balm or lotion to my skin. I like to shave using a standard and traditional razor, which I believe gives me the cleanest and smoothest shave that I can get. However, it can also make your skin pores really sensitive and, if I don’t use aftershave, often I can find that I have infected or ingrown hairs on my face, which are very undesirable. But, mostly, I love using aftershave because it has this relieving quality to it that I desire after a smooth shave in the morning. I prefer actually to get the aftershave that has a scent in it – much like men's cologne – so that I can smell good and enjoy having smooth skin without any worry about ingrown hairs or infected hair follicles. From time to time I will use unscented aftershave if I plan on wearing a fragrance that day.
